No. We take first-timers on all our trips, and many of our guests have never been in a raft before. You just need to be able to follow instructions and be willing to paddle. If you're nervous or not sure a trip is right for you, get in touch and we'll talk it through.

You'll bring your own camping gear and off-river clothes: a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and travel pillow, plus camp shoes and a rain jacket and pants. On the water, the only personal item you need is a pair of river shoes. We provide all the whitewater gear and a large drybag for everything else. Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you a full packing list. You can also find more on our Planning Page.

Your 15% deposit is non-refundable, since we use it to secure permits, staff, and equipment as soon as you book. Anything you've paid beyond the deposit is fully refundable if you cancel more than 60 days before your launch date. If you cancel within 60 days of your launch date, payments are non-refundable, because by then we've booked guides, ordered food, and prepared gear for your trip. If something comes up, please still get in touch. We'll do what we reasonably can, such as moving you to a later departure.If we have to cancel a trip because it doesn't reach our minimum group size, you can choose a full refund or a transfer to another date. Yes. We take a 15% non-refundable deposit when you book, and the remaining balance is due 60 days before your launch date. If you book less than 60 days before departure, we'll ask for full payment at the time of booking. If you're organising a large group and want to talk about timing or logistics, mention it in your booking request and we'll work something out with you.

Rafting season in BC generally runs from mid-May to mid-September. Our northern BC trips run from late July to mid-September, when river levels and conditions are best.

Yes. These trips involve swift water, remote terrain, and weather that can change quickly, so we ask everyone to understand the risks before they come. You can read our liability waiver online ahead of time, and you'll sign a paper copy in person before the trip starts.
