Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy
Payment
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm and secure your reservation. The remaining 70% balance is due 90 days prior to the scheduled trip departure date. Reservations made within 90 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking. All payments are subject to the terms and conditions outlined at the time of reservation. Deposits are required to cover advance logistical costs such as permits, staffing, and equipment preparation. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the 90-day deadline may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of the deposit.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Full refunds will be given to all payments 90 days ahead of the trip departure dates. Due to the significant advance planning and fixed costs associated with expedition rafting trips - including permits, logistics, staffing, and provisioning - all payments become non-refundable within 90 days of the scheduled trip departure date.
6 participants are required for non-custom trips on the Nass and the Babine Rivers. Trips that do not meet the participation numbers required will not proceed. Please ensure that the trip meets the required number of participants before booking flights as we cannot refund flights costs booked prior to trip confirmation. If West Coast Whitewater cancels a trip prior to departure, guests will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to a future trip.
Conditions beyond West Coast Whitewater’s control may alter the itinerary of your trip. The company reserves the right to change the itinerary or location of your trip at any time. While it is extremely rare, environmental (high water, forest fires, wildlife), medical, or any other unexpected logistical challenge may result in a cancelled trip or unexpected costs. Unexpected costs outside the control of the company will be evenly distributed between the participants of the trip.
First Nations Land Acknowledgement
West Coast Whitewater acknowledges that our operations on the Nass River take place on the traditional, unceded territory of the Nisga'a and Gitanyow Nations, and adjacent to the Lake Babine and Gitanmaax Nations. We recognize the deep cultural, spiritual, and historical connection the local indigenous people have to these lands and waters, and we are committed to operating in a way that respects their sovereignty, values, and stewardship. We are grateful for the opportunity to travel through these territories and strive to uphold practices that honour their ongoing guardianship of the Nass and Skeena Valleys.
