Why This Trip

Four Reasons It Stands Out

01

Grizzly Drop at Your Own Pace.

Scout and run a Class IV rapid beside fishing bears, with a guide who knows the line.

02

Two Rivers to Row.

The technical Babine and the powerful Skeena, back to back on one expedition.

03

Fly In, Float Out.

Rafts, equipment, food, and airport transport are covered. You show up ready to row.

04

Wildlife Beyond Compare.

One of the highest concentrations of grizzlies in the world, plus eagles, wolves, and more.

The Heart of It

What Makes This Trip

Run the Babine–Skeena yourself, with everything handled for you. Your group rows its own rafts down the Babine and the Skeena, with a WCW guide alongside to organize logistics, set up camp, and show you the lines through the big water. Expect mostly Class III with several Class IV rapids, including Grizzly Drop, some of North America's best wildlife viewing, and the Skeena's rolling wave trains and enormous beaches.

This trip is only for those comfortable rowing and kayaking in Class IV, and we'll ask for proof of your skill before confirming your booking. Typical trips run six days, with flexible dates and length.
